The last harbour by Giovanna Cerise
"Giovanna Cerise, the Italian based artist of many interesting works, created a place for herself called ‘The Last Harbour’. A harbour can be many things. A place to dock, a safe haven, a smelly messy place, a gathering of nationalities, a place to start or end a travel, etc etc. This harbour however is an open art space. You will find older creations as well as new ones, all settled on a Roman seaside. Just because it felt good to do and because many people asked about it, according to the informative blog of Inara Pey about this place...."Continue reading:
Giovanna’s Last Harbour in Second Life
3 Replies"Occupying the north-east corner of a region, The Last Harbour is a fabulous setting for Giovanna’s work, beautifully laid out and presented to visitors. From the landing point, a series of platforms sit on the waters of the parcel, connected by transparent and translucent tiles from the aforementioned Tristan und Isolde. These form both a display space and a walkway passing across the parcel..." Continue reading:
Chiamatela “Arte”
"Dirò solo, modestamente, che alcune delle opere di Giovanna Cerise possono essere annoverate fra quelle che lasciano il segno (http://www.virtualworldsmagazine.com/a-proposito-di-arte-virtuale/ – more-6716,http://www.virtualworldsmagazine.com/il-flauto-magico/). Last Harbor, artistic installation, Giovanna Cerise Art
"If I wanted to give a brief definition of the artistic work of Giovanna Cerise, (which, however, does not do justice to her work) I would say that it is “manipulation of prim“.
Giovanna, in fact, through the use of 3D programs useful to the creation of three-dimensional environments imported into S.Life, manipulates the forms.
NURBS, Splines, Boolean, are all used in her works exhibited at Last Harbor.
The experiment, the combination of forms, the dissection of a form to the other, all contribute to enrich the performance.
Giovanna also makes extensive use of human forms, both the full-length, is the face, often shown in profile and just mentioned.
A theme that seems to her loved one is, in fact, the identity of the subject-man.
An identity crisis (or evolution, if you prefer), typical of modern society..." Continue reading:
