Museo del Metaverso Opening


Sabato 7 Marzo 2015, alle ore 21,30 (9,30 PM CET), avrà luogo l’inaugurazione del Museo del Metaverso, alla gradita presenza del dott. Mario Gerosa e della dott.ssa Elif Ayiter
L’occasione è particolarmente idonea per presentare la nuova struttura museale, progettata e creata da Elif Ayiter.
Il Museo del Metaverso è stato fondato nel mondo parallelo di Second Life nel 2007 da Rosanna Galvani; dopo qualche anno di pausa, MdM riapre i battenti in Opensim, nella Grid Craft.
Si tratta di un museo digitale 3D, che ospita più di 40 artisti e installazioni, le quali possono essere visitate nell’ambiente immersivo, proprio dei mondi paralleli.
Il Museo, negli anni fra il 2007 e il 2011, ha partecipato a diverse iniziative, organizzate nel mondo fisico da Enti e Istituzioni, quali Rinascimento Virtuale a Firenze, per la curatela di Mario Gerosa, Futuroma e Ars in Ara a Roma, Innovation Festival a Milano , Viareggio Art Project a Viareggio, Open Garden a Fogliano (LT).
La finestra sul web, di cui il Museo dispone, con il sito il gruppo e la pagina su Facebook, Google Plus, Flickr e Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, rappresenta un efficace mezzo di comunicazione delle iniziative che si programmano.
Il Museo del Metaverso, dal 2015 ha corretto la sua mission, rivolgendo particolare attenzione al web e al mondo fisico. Pertanto, il Museo, oltre che luogo da visitare e da esplorare per la bellezza della struttura e delle opere che vi si conservano/espongono, sarà un laboratorio dove creare iniziative, eventi , performance da mostrare nel mondo fisico, mediante un’operazione crossmediale, che attraverserà i vari media, con l’utilizzo del network di cui si dispone.
Le opere, le installazioni, la pregiata architettura del museo, le perfomance, gli eventi, gli artisti e l'owner costituiscono un’unica opera concettuale, immersiva e performante, pronta a varcare le soglie di un mondo per entrare in un altro e, d’altro canto, ad accogliere chi vorrà misurarsi con realtà sempre più immersive e “augmented”, come quella dove il Museo opera.

Inauguration of the Museum of the Metaverse


Saturday, March 7, 2015, at 21.30 hours (9:30 PM CET), will take place the inauguration of the Museum of the Metaverse, the welcome presence of dr. Mario Gerosa and Dr. Elif Ayiter. The meeting will be streamed on the web.

The occasion is especially suitable for presenting the new museum, designed and created by Elif Ayiter.

The Museo del Metaverso was established in the parallel world of Second Life in 2007 by Rosanna Galvani; after a year off, MdM reopens in OpenSim, the Grid Craft.

It is a 3D digital museum, which houses more than 40 artists and installations, which can be visited in the immersive, just parallel worlds.

The museum, in the years between 2007 and 2011, he participated in several initiatives, organized in the physical world by organizations and institutions, such as Rinascimento Virtuale in Florence, for the curatorship of Mario Gerosa, Futuroma and Ars in Ara in Rome, Innovation Festival in Milan, Viareggio Art Project in Viareggio, Open Garden in Fogliano (LT).
The window on the web, of which the Museum has, with the site and the group page on Facebook, Google Plus, Twitter and Flickr, YouTube, Pinterest, is an effective means of communication initiatives that are planned.
The Museum of the Metaverse, 2015 amended its mission, paying particular attention to the web and to the physical world. Therefore, the Museum, as well as place to visit and explore the beauty of the structure and the works that are preserved / exhibit, will be a laboratory where to create initiatives, events, performances to show in the physical world, through cross-media operation, that pass through the various media, with the use of network it have.
The works, installations, the fine architecture of the museum, the performances, events, artists and the owner constitute a single conceptual work, immersive and performing, ready to cross the threshold of a world to enter another and, on the other hand, to welcome those who want to confront reality ever more immersive and "augmented", like the one where the museum operates.

SAUDADE is the desire of something beautiful that by the time you realize you know that is ending. The two dancers are captured in the final moment of their tango. The couple is multiplied in its isolation to prolong indefinitely the time of pleasure and sadness. The physical and emotional tension brings them almost to crushing, but ready to begin again, in uncontrollable obsession, in trying to overcome all the physical and emotional limits.

RED SHOES at MIC - Imagin@rium

RED SHOES

MIC-Imagin@rium in collaboration with Il Margutta Art Gallery - Rome (Italy) - inaugurates "RED SHOES", December 2 at 14:00 pm SLT.

Elaborating on the idea of the Mexican artist Elina Chauvet, who in 2009 exhibited his first installation "Zapatos Rojos" in Ciudad Juárez, which later became "viral" around the world, 25 metaverse's artists have each created a work around a pair of red shoes.
The exhibition's machinima in Second Life will be screened at Margutta (RL) during the inauguration of the exhibition "Woman in Rock & Red Shoes" on December 10th.
The art and creativity, whether digital or "analog", have always been an instrument of denunciation, and we will get the heart and soul so that the message against violence on women continues to be disclosed by force.

The support of the spectacular show was created by Colpo Wexler. The red mesh shoes for installations were created by Rumegusc Altamura.

MadPea Art Festival- June 15-29th

 Starting June 15th – 29th. We will be showcasing 24 artists from around the grid in a cyber-city display. Come see their fabulous art and be inspired by their creative talent.

Sheherazade: if you want to survive, tell a story







Sheherazade is the storyteller in ”One thousand and one nights” where the frame story tells about a king who marries a new virgin everyday and next morning kills her. Finally it is Sheherazades turn to become the king’s wife. In the evening Sheherazade starts to tell the king stories, and she continues to tell stories for 1001 nights, and in this way she saves her own and other womens life and she is able to change the kings view on women and the world.
”Scheherazade had nothing; only good stories to tell and the ability to tell them well. The lesson is that, if you want to survive, you better have a good story to tell.” (The last storytellers – Richard Hamilton)
In Second life, where everything is possible 4 artists have created installations to honour the imagination of a storyteller. Here you can hear the silence of the sands, enter the darkness of stars, walk on soundless words and stare at a bird trapped in the chest of a human being.

The four virtual artists are: Capcat Ragu, Cherry Manga, Giovanna Cerise and Meilo Minotaur.

International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women
from 19th to 25th November 2012 in SecondLife
Mother, daughter, wife, girlfriend, lover, housewife, businesswoman, friend, educator. How many are the roles of a woman and in what way does she know take on them: all with proud spirit, with the smile. It's this smile that put on wings to the woman, making special, it's the awareness to take on many roles tirelessly.
But, there are still many women that these wings are wrenched. About the statistics, since the beginning of 2012 in Italy one woman was killed almost every two days (source Adnkronos), while it is difficult to estimate the hnumber of those women who have locked in their houses crushed by abuses of various kinds, domestic and not.
For this reason, this year, we want to shout our anger and our support to all victims through "2Lei", the event born three years ago in Second Life with the target of highlight the "International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women" founded by the the United Nations in 1999. It is not solidarity, it is a request to come up against, all together, men and women, hear the subdued groans , reach out to take a look frightened, for raise one's voice of those who scream with arrogance and does not allow replies. The virtual worlds are an occasion of meeting and aggregation moe and more, in little time they succeed in reaching a lot of people. They can be also an important means of deepest messages, as This, in particular when it is not the single person or single group that to shout, but they are so many different realities as those that cooperate to this project. In 2Lei there are Italian groups in Second Life working on art, culture, music, entertainment, and there are artists, musicians, different personalities, both Italian and international.

Our target is to reach as many people as possible because, if our furious hoot becomes a chorus and the chorus becomes real attention to what surrounds us every day, we could be able to bring a smile and cure some injured wings

Madre, figlia, moglie, compagna, amante, casalinga, im
prenditrice, amica, educatrice... quanti sono i ruoli di una donna e come sa assumerli tutti con fierezza, con il sorriso, pienamente presente ad ognuno... E' questo sorriso che mette le ali alla donna rendendola speciale, è la consapevolezza di poter assumere tanti ruoli senza risparmiarsi... Eppure sono ancora tante le donne a cui queste ali vengono strappate. Secondo le statistiche, dall’inizio del 2012 in Italia è stata uccisa quasi una donna ogni due giorni (fonte Adnkronos), mentre è difficile stimare il numero di quelle che soffrono chiuse nelle loro case schiacciate da sopraffazioni di vario genere (domestiche e non).


Per questo, anche quest'anno, vogliamo gridare la nostra rabbia e il nostro sostegno a tutte le vittime attraverso 2LEI, la manifestazione nata tre anni fa in Second Life con l'obiettivo di sottolineare la Giornata Internazionale per l'Eliminazione della violenza contro le donne, istituita dalle Nazioni Unite nel 1999. Non si tratta di semplice solidarietà, si tratta di un invito a ribellarci tutti insieme, uomini e donne, ad aprire le orecchie ai lamenti sommessi, a offrire una mano a uno sguardo spaurito, ad alzare la voce più di chi gridando con prepotenza non ammette repliche.


I mondi virtuali sono sempre più un'occasione di incontro e di aggregazione, in poco tempo si riescono a raggiungere moltissime persone. Possono quindi essere anche veicolo importante di messaggi come questo, soprattutto quando a gridare non è la singola persona o un singolo gruppo, ma sono tante realtà diverse come quelle che aderiscono a questo progetto. In 2LEI ci sono gruppi italiani che in Secondlife si occupano di arte, di cultura, di musica, di intrattenimento, e ci sono artisti, musicisti, personalità varie (non solo italiane). L'obiettivo è di arrivare al maggior numero di persone possibile, perchè se il nostro grido di rabbia diventa un coro e il coro diventa un'attenzione vera a quello che ci circonda quotidianamente, forse riusciremo a riportare qualche sorriso e a curare qualche ala ferita...

GA International FineArts Tour (GIFT), 2012 Opens!

The Gay Archipelago proudly announces the GRID-WIDE Grand Opening day of GIFT, 2012 as of Saturday, September 1st, 2012!
GIFT is the largest multi-sim fine arts exhibit currently in Second life, encompassing 19 beautiful GA Estates and featuring 47 individual artists.    Each GA Estate is outfitted with a TelePort board, allowing the visitor to choose destinations throughout the exhibition.
We invite you to begin your GIFT Tour at the official ‘Start Point’ on the GA Estate of Gay Island Resort – the rest of the direction your tour takes is up to you!  
Take your time and return often to see each and every installation as these artists are exhibiting all unique, original works in a variety of media.  Feel free to explore each Host Estate to take in the sights as well.  GIFT will be open to the entire Second Life population through September 22, 2012.

The cube project @ LEA


The Cube Project is a collaborative artwork consisting of virtual artists Bryn Oh, Cajska Carlsson, Charlotte Bartlett, Dancoyote Antonelli, Giovanna Cerise,  Haveit Neox, Kicca Igaly, L1Aura Loire, London Junkers,  Maya Paris, Misprint Thursday, Nessuno Myoo, Oberon Onmura, PatriciaAnne Daviau, Pol Jarvinen, Rag Randt, Rowan Derryth, Sea Mizin, Secret Rage, Solkide Auer, Remington Aries, Solo Mornington,  Tony Resident, Werner Kurosawa and Xineohp Guisse.
The Cube Project uses a variety of windlights so Firestorm viewer is suggested.

IMMERSIVE WOR(L)DS



Parole (Words) e Mondi (Worlds) sono i temi che fanno da sfondo all’evento che Libriamo Tutti e Accademia di Brera, in collaborazione con IF2012 Immagina il Futuro, hanno organizzato per sabato 30 giugno, alle ore 10.30.
Parole: perché abbiamo chiesto ad alcuni artisti digitali  (Giovanna Cerise,  Nessuno Myoo,  Noke Yuitza,   Giulia De Marinis,  Lorenzo De Liguoro ) di creare delle opere d’arte, ispirandosi ad opere letterarie.

Mondi: perché, per ammirare le opere d’arte, metteremo in collegamento mondi virtuali e mondi fisici, facendo dialogare avatar che popoleranno la sede virtuale dell’Accademia di Brera in Second Life, con appassionati di arte e di letteratura che si incontreranno invece nella sede fisica dell’Accademia.
Un sodalizio fra arte letteraria e arte figurativa che trova il suo punto di incontro nell’utilizzo delle nuove tecnologie offerte da internet, per stimolare la condivisione e l’interazione, annullando le distanze fra artisti, lettori e spettatori.

Durante l’incontro la lettura di testi e racconti si integrerà con l’esplorazione e la scoperta artistica; le immagini si intrecceranno annullando gli spazi; il dialogo si svilupperà fra spazi concreti e piattaforme web.

L’organizzazione dell’evento è gestita da:
> Giovanni Dalla Bona di Imparafacile assieme al gruppo Libriamo Tutti
> Giampiero Moioli e Stefania Albertini Docenti dell’Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera
> Simba Schumann, owner di Arte Libera in Second Life.
